Dr.Louis calls General Chang

In this scene the character Dr. Louis (played by Amy Adams) uses the language that the aliens bestowed upon them to contact a Chinese General to stop the order to launch Nuclear Bombs at the Aliens ships. In the the scene she seen running through the American military base attempting to call the general but this is seen as treason to the U.S government. While you see this scene the viewers are also presented with a Party and what seams like a party of nations, because of the flags being presented in the background. But we also see a flag presenting the language that the aliens had bestowed upon them. The doctor in this scene approaches the general and now that we've seen her approach him in this party we can only but assume that this is the future. He congratulates the doctor and after small talk the general approaches closer and whispers something into her ear. Then the movie clips back to the military base as the Doctor is furiously attempting to make the call to the general with American soldiers following ready to stop what is about to happen. But as she is able to make contact with the general she tells the general the exact same thing she is told in the future because this happens we are able to see the true power of the language. The nukes are withheld and never launched to the ships. 

This exposes the true inner meaning and its that the Earth needs to be united and shouldn't have to resort to threatening itself, and it can be united by something as simple as a language.
